Charles kK5OQ,

You are not alone. I had all kinds of problems until I learned the tsql
would not let me sign a Cabrillo file. It came back with an error message
saying wrong contest name in the header. For example, my log saying the
"BARTG SPRINT" could not be signed until I changed it to BARTG RTTY. The
BARTG web page also says to use BARTG RTTY for the BARTG Sprint. The
following is part of a note from Wayne Mills, N7NG/1, from ARRL that helped
me with the same problem you described.

I hope this helps.

73, Dick AA5VU

ps: There are workarounds for things like the UK-DX RTTY that is not on the
list.

OH! I didn't realize you had an error message. For a Cabrillo file to be
accepted by Logbook, the contest name MUST match one of those in the
following list (exactly as shown). This list and other information can be
seen at: http://www.kkn.net/~trey/cabrillo/

CONTEST: contest-name
The contest-name must be one of the following: AP-SPRINT, ARRL-10, ARRL-160,
ARRL-DX-CW, ARRL-DX-SSB, ARRL-SS-CW, ARRL-SS-SSB, ARRL-UHF-AUG,
ARRL-VHF-JAN, ARRL-VHF-JUN, ARRL-VHF-SEP, ARRL-RTTY, BARTG-RTTY, CQ-160-CW,
CQ-160-SSB CQ-WPX-CW, CQ-WPX-RTTY, CQ-WPX-SSB, CQ-VHF, CQ-WW-CW, CQ-WW-RTTY,
CQ-WW-SSB, DARC-WAEDC-CW, DARC-WAEDC-RTTY, DARC-WAEDC-SSB, DL-DX-RTTY,
IARU-HF, JIDX-CW, JIDX-SSB, NAQP-CW, NAQP-RTTY, NAQP-SSB, NA-SPRINT-CW,
NA-SPRINT-SSB, NEQP, OCEANIA-DX-CW, OCEANIA-DX-SSB, RSGB-IOTA, SAC-CW,
SAC-SSB, SARTG-WW-RTTY, STEW-PERRY or TARA-RTTY.

Because there are various log configurations in other contests, the log
reader (LoTW in this case) must know what format or template you are using.
This is determined by the value in the "Contest Name" field. Note that the
"UK" contest is not listed. Therefore, Logbook won't recognize it.
