N1MM appears to be written in VB6. VB .Net applications can be easily deployed
on Linux, for one example, with tools such as Mono. VB6 has been end of life
for probably 10 or more years at this point.

I understand but I'm curious why the author didn't choose to write it
cross-platform to begin with?
