If they want to make 2.8 Khz bandwidth legal for digital transmission, why
don’t they limit it to the phone band where where other modes such as SSB
and SlowScan TV already utilize comparable bandwidth. Certainly there must
be some space in the phone bands if legalizing Pactor IV is really that
important. Keep the CW/Digital allocations for narrow bandwidth modes.
