Heh, heh, heh.....
The weak signal modes are effectively unusable unless you know where the
watering holes are and the JT modes are not decodable in "real time" (for lack
of a more appropriate term), though you can recognize their presence by ear if
you can hear them. But you'd have to listen for more than a minute at a minimum.
I don't have a problem with this per se - the locations are not a secret - but
it isn't like there was some sort of democratic or deliberative process to
allocate them. They have all the formality of an IARU band plan with none of
the attendant give and take.
