When it was first made available to hams, it was SSB only; that changed about the same time they changed the power level limit and swapped the one channel that hams were experiencing interference on for a less used one.

I was under the impression that 60 meters was SSB only.

I have never operated on that band for that reason.

I am 100% RTTY and CW

 From ARRL's website:

With an eye to the potential for expanded 60 meter privileges in the
future, the ARRL believes it is critical to cooperate fully with the
NTIA. Therefore, the ARRL asks all amateurs to restrict 60-meter digital
operations to PSK31 or PACTOR III.

It doesn't seem to forbid RTTY but from I understand is that digital
modes are being discouraged.

Anyone tried RTTY on one of the five 60 meter channels?

It is my understanding there is a gentleman’s agreement among the 60 meter users that digital ops are on Channel 3 or 5258.5. I would assume this is the MARK frequency?

As a fldigi user I would put the TS-590SG's VFO on 5357.5 USB-DATA mode and this would places my Mark on 5258.5 with my 1000 Hz sweet spot preference.

I have listened buy have not hear anything other than some JT65 signals.
