Removing the board is not a real trick. Proceed slowly and keep notes
if you are not sure of where you are going.
The relay in question is what disconnects the tx on receive. Potting
it won't help much. You can remove the relay from the board and put
it on flexible leads about 1/4" long. This breaks the mechanical
coupling to the PC board which causes it to act as a sounding board.
The added lead length is not particularly critical to the circuit.
On the other hand, most good CW ops use headphones so they don't hear
a puny little relay anyway....
