Actually I have returned items to ham radio stores on a number of
occasions and had no hassles. Just use your credit card. They drool and
you rule, because you can always return the offending item to the
retailer and send copies of your paperwork and explanation to your
credit card provider and they will charge the retailer back. Retailers
know they will loose in this situation.
Recently, I have purchased new items from a major vendor only to find
the units had been restocked and were not functioning as they should.
