It's a dang good thing that there are those who are willing to pay for such
things as they come out or there would not be a time when the rest of us
could get one at a reasonable price.

I well recall that my Dad bought my Mother an Amana microwave oven for
Christmas 1973---my brother was working for the Amana distributor here and
got it for him at dealer cost, which was just a few dollars short of
$500.00...when that was about 5 times as much money as it is today. Now, of
course, you can get an  equivalent for about $200 of today's dollars (or a
throwaway for $69.95.) But we wouldn't have made that progress if a bunch of
people hadn't stepped up and paid for the early ones to finance the R&D and
generate the economies of scale that let us have them so cheaply today.

So be happy that there are a few people out there willing to ante up for a
new Orion---they, more than anyone else, are responsible for the advancement
of the state of the art.
