My Orion has always had audio distortion on the SSB monitor signal since day
1 (May 15, 2003) when listened to on headphones. However, my transmitted
SSB signal has always been very clear and never shown any of the distortion
heard in the SSB monitor. I believe the problem is present in all Orion
firmware versions. I also have audio distortion on the CW sidetone when the
sidetone is listened to through headphones. There is no audio distortion of
the CW sidetone through the speaker.
