I didn't get a tuner because the only demo units in stock at the time I
ordered didn't have any. I think you can do better with an external tuner.
The only advantage is that there's one less box to lug around, but with the
size of the Orion, you're probably not lugging it much anyways.
If you use an amplifier, there's no need for a tuner in the Orion. If you
need a tuner, you need a high powered one for the amp.

Definitely worth the trip. It's about 8 hours for me. I've only been to two
of them. I really like that part of the country. If I go again, I will
definitely plan on spending some time in the Smokies.
