Thanks for the info and explanation on the 600 Hz filter substitution.
As for your "Orion Bashing" post, I'm getting pretty tired of doing
resets. 4 grand with optional antenna tuner! Still, the thing has a
heck of a receiver, just wish it was sorted out better prior to sale
to the public. I replaced a decade-old TS-870 with the Orion and heard
things right off the bat that simply were not there before.

Fortunately, this listserver allows me to keep up with the latest
developments and after about 2 months' time, it is easy to determine who
knows what they are talking about and those who are blowing smoke.

Now charging a huge bank of batteries for Field Day. I'll be using the
Orion QRP. (even I think that is bizarre...HI!)
