I would have to go to the trouble of reading the schematic, but I guess I assumed that it is the maximum permissible collector current set. This would be how Ten Tec protects the final transistors.

When I have a chance I will look and see for sure. I really can't say for sure without looking at the roadmap.

Just out of curiosity, what does the "IC" pot do?

The ALC set does not calibrate the meter, it will adjust the maximum
output. Pse see the procedure on my website. Mike W2AJI

Adjust the ALC SET pot (R179) on the A5 IF Board, beneath the speaker.

I picked up a second hand Orion 2 six months ago.
The output power is off on its reading as I am sure the previous owner
played with this.
While reading 65 watts it really puts out 100W.
It will go way above 100W if I run her up.
However, I really want to bring it back into specs.
Anyone have a how-to guide on doing that?

Thanks in advanced!
