I’m sure that is possible but the result might be that you end up with the efficiency of a dummy load hanging in a tree. The rig would be happy though... There are no silver bullets to turn a poorly matched wire antenna system into a high performance efficient radiator of RF on 160/80 M....except lots of work with L and C of the radiator and counterpoise and then connection of that back to the radio with a decent pipe (transmission line) Cecil Acuff Gulfport MS K5DL From: Jim GM Sent: November 5, 2013 11:03 AM To: TenTec-request Subject: Re: [TenTec] 160 M antenna Ten-Tec like other tuners have a hard time tuning 160M. Any information on this subject is very helpful. I wish some one would sell a tuner that will tune 45 foot to 300 feet of a single wire antenna without doing something external to the antenna. -- Jim K9TF _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
