I hear no "death rattle" whatsoever. TT is alive and well.  There is no 
evidence to the contrary. Where do you get your misinformation?

Alpha amps are not "obsoleted" by Alpha. That some tubes are not available is 
not Alpha's responsibility and how anyone can justify otherwise escapes me. The 
tube manufacturers make those choices. As hams, we don't use enough of them to 
justify a dedicated production line for something like 8874s. 

You seem to want TT to exist solely by making and selling ham equipment to hams 
and hams only. I know of no major company that does that -- I think even MFJ 
depends on non-ham business. So did Hallicrafters, Hammarlund, WRL, Collins, 
Heath, Johnson, B&W or any of a bunch of others. Times changed in ways they 
didn't. I don't see anything like that with TT.
