I agree about the fifty watts.  The more power you are pulling while
running mobile, the more problems you make.  I run mostly CW will mobile
and have noticed just about any one I can hear I can work.  The old Scout
hears pretty well.  I have always been impressed with what it and the old
Hustler antennas will do.
