Bob If one 458 blew do I have to replace both of them. I have a final assy out
a parts rig and it might be easier to replace the whole assy if the transstosr
check OK w a Simpson of Triplett VOM

Don't despair (yet). You will have to open up the final compartment to
see what smoked. Maybe one of the final transistors is blown, or maybe
a capacitor shorted out.
