K1HTV now past 1/2 way to 300
Wow! Another super DX night on the Top Band. After working OX3PA Saturday
night for #150 on 160 Meters, Sunday night 1/20/97 UTC proved to be even
better than Saturday. After calling S92SS unsuccessfully for quite a while
I broke from that pileup at 0100Z to try 9X4WW at his sunrise. In 5 calls
9X4WW was in the log for #151 with 100 Watts. Over an hour later at 0213Z
I finally worked another VOA guy, Charles, S92SS in Sao Tome for #152 on 160M.
It was a great night for Africa, also working ZS6UT (0328Z) and 6W6JX (0628Z)
from my MD QTH.
Stations in the K1HTV 1/20/97 log worked with low power include:
0100Z 9X4WW 0443Z 4X4NJ
0213Z S92SS 0539Z LZ1JY
0256Z UA2BD 0545Z OZ7YY (SSB)
0303Z SM6CVX 0606Z SM3EVR
0312Z RA4NW 0613Z OH3ES
0328Z ZS6UT 0628Z 6W6JX
0340Z UY0ZA 0633-0705Z F2YT, F5POJ, ON6KD, EI5HE & ON7TK

It was another super Top Band night to remember! What else will '97 bring?
