In reply, let me ask "what proton absorption?" A check of today's NOAA
satellite at synchronous altitude shows background levels of proton
fluxes and electrons too. There's no POLAR CAP ABSORPTION event in
progress; all's quiet in the polar cap and it should be a nice day for
DXing.
