concerning proton absorption on high latitude 160 propagation paths. I was
talking about the possible occurrence on any day in the future while the JT
is active. However there actually has been a polar cap absorption event
during the past four days and it is still occurring in a minor way, though

Anytime the proton level is 10 mev or higher absorption takes place on 160.
