I feel very fortunate to have managed a qso on topband. It took a fair amount of effort. Both Friday and Saturday morning last week I thought I possibly had a good qso, but no cigar. Finally, Monday morning their sigs were a bit better, the atmosphere was nice and quiet, and I finally got them (we both exchanged 559). Ants are elevated feed quarter wave vertical (slopes abt 30 degrees) for TX and the W8JI small vertical array for RX. 73...Dave W0FLS |
