Good idea on using posts...readily available.  On the concrete
mix, I've had good luck using just FINE sand, washed in with water.
Using fine sand with water will fill every void and tightly lock the post
in
place.  Sand allows water to wick away from the posts, whereas concrete
can trap water between the post and concrete and rot the post off
much sooner.  Also, a rock base under the post will drain water away.

And then, let's say that later on you want to reuse the post.  To remove
it, just dig a hole next to the post, then wash the sand into the newly
dug
hole to extract the post.  

Just my 2 cents worth of barbershop advice.  :O)
