Jim,
I have had a Hygain Explorer 14 with a 40 M add-on kit at 25 - 30' (atop a
short tripod mounted on the roof of a 2 story house) for the last 4 or 5
years. I also used to have a Butternut HF6V ground mounted with 30+ radials.
The rotating dipole beat the vertical almost every time. It is typically
quieter also. The Explorer 14 has handled 60+ mph winds in Feb. 96 and has
been through a couple Oregon ice storms without any trouble. Good luck!

Mike K7NT
