Similar situation here at IEARS (Intel Emergency Amateur Radio Service).
Suggestions:
1. Get good at writing "facilities work orders" or whatever y'all call them.
2. Make a good friend in facilities.
3. Do what we did: recruit a couple of hams into the group that have taken
the "fall arrest harness" training class and are therefore certified to
climb. In our case, a couple of our gang are fab equipment techs so they're
required to be climb-certified. (Why, I don't know. Those bunny people do
wierd stuff.)

Seriously.... it is well worth your while to make a friend in facilities.
It will pay back a hundred fold.

Our club is evaluating a Hazer system vs. the cost of paying a professional
to climb the tower when maintenance is needed. We are rebuilding a
TailTwister and a KT34XA prior to installation. Since the tower is on our
employer's roof we will not be allowed to climb it. What is an estimate as
to the number of times a tower would need to be climbed over a ten year
period for top of tower maintenance? With that estimate we should be able
to determine the cost of a climber vs the cost of a Hazer. Thanks, Pete
