Why's that? A biner is rated at a whole bunch of kilo-newtons which is a
measurement of a dynamic load, not like the static load you're describing.
I carry about a dozen biners and 6-8 slings with me every time I climb a
tower. And sometimes with complicated rigging jobs I use them ALL.
