Cannot understand why you can't run the far end of the antenna towards the tree ... using a halyard through a pulley attached to the tree, with a weight on the end of the halyard and the 'junction' where the vertical part of the antenna ALSO running through a pulley [insulated, of course]... as the tower is lowered, the weight could/would keep the antenna quite taught to the tower.
