My experience would suggest that your success in interlacing a 40 on the
KT34XA boom is largely dependent on the design of the 40. I can tell you
that if you tried to interlace linear loaded 40 meter elements of the design
used by KLM in the past, it would most certainly kill performance on 15. I
have a 2 el KLM for 40 10 feet above my KT36XA and had to turn them 90
degrees from each other. At that I'm still convinced there's interaction
between the two.
On the other hand as noted by Dave K6LL, the Cushcraft shorties seem to
stack well with the KT34/36 series of antennas. There's obviously going to
be more coupling on the same boom, so nothings guaranteed.
As a rule, stacking 40s close to 15s is problematic.
