You will get varying answers on this one. Hard to go wrong waiting for the
90%+ point of 28 days.however.when that is going to be a problem, here are a
couple of suggestions to think about.
- Tower specs call for 2500 - 3000 PSI concrete. If you pour 4000 PSI then
you only need to wait to the 50 - 60% point to be in spec. That can be on
the order of 2 weeks to 20 days.
- What are you building and how are you building it? If you are building a
self supporting tower, then you for sure want to wait until the 90% point.
However if you are raising stacked sections of 25/45/55G and are going to
guy it tightly anyway for climbing safety, I personally would have no
problem going up to maybe 40 or 50 feet with at least 2 guy points after 3
weeks (and have done so numerous times). No antennas and no expected
hurricane.
There is the clinical and there is the cautious but practical.
Stay safe, if there is no particular hurry, wait the 28 days.
