Many, many years ago when I was in college, I strung a piece of AWG 28
magnet wire out the window of my dorm room. The dark brown enamel was
almost invisible. When I had to replace it, all I could find was shiny
magnet wire. When the sun hit it, it looked like it was about a foot
wide. So much for stealth. Alas, I don't think you can buy that dark
brown magnet wire any more.
