The Amphenol 83-ISP-1050 drawing is available from Digi-Key on their
website.
https://www.digikey.com/htmldatasheets/production/2459657/0/0/1/83-1sp-1050-drawing.htmlNote the dwg shows how the barrel is to be stamped and includes the 49190. What the number represents however is not shown/stated. I suspect the 49190 is an internal Amphenol number.Don W7WLL On 6/19/2024 10:56 AM, Henry Pollock - K4TMC wrote:I have some newer ones with "Amphenol 83-1SP-1050" and older ones withoutthe "1050". Comments anyone? 73, Henry - K4TMCOn Wed, Jun 19, 2024 at 1:27 PM Jim Brown<jim@audiosystemsgroup.com> wrote:On 6/19/2024 9:52 AM,tomgeorgens15@gmail.com wrote:I have suspicions about the 83-1SP as well. The only issue I've had with Amphenol-branded connectors was with a batch of 83-1SPs that was part of a group purchase from a major electronics distributor for NCCC and a couple of local clubs in Santa Cruz, CA. Two of the connectors (out of probably more than 50) I was installing had short threads. All of this occurred more than five years ago. It has recently come to my attention that, several years ago Amphenol, began acquiring connector manufacturers and re-branding their connectors as sub-imprints of Amphenol products. I think I had seen a post that the"Amphenol RF" branding was the real deal. It would benefit all of us to have solid info on this. 73, Jim K9YC _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ TowerTalk mailing list TowerTalk@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/towertalk_______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ TowerTalk mailing list TowerTalk@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/towertalk_______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ TowerTalk mailing list TowerTalk@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/towertalk _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ TowerTalk mailing list TowerTalk@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/towertalk |
