Once again the 6 Meter Sprint is upon us. This Saturday is also the Second
Mid Atlantic QSO Party. Unlike many other state/regional QSO parties, the
MAQP encourages operation on all (except WARC) bands up to 432 MHz. Last
year, VHF/UHF participation was light--except for one bright spot-- 6
Meters! Of all the contacts made in the QSO party, the most were on 40.
75/80 was next, with 20 in third place. Fourth place was 6 METERS! Not 15 or
10, but 6! Yes, the SPRINT was on the same day--no doubt a significant
factor.

So, SPRINTERS in the NE (and hopefully eleswhere) you are likely to run into
some MAQP participants this Saturday, They will be looking for Sig report,
serial number, State and County(if in NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, DC, VA, or WV).
