K9TMS and K9PLS will be doing a husband/wife rove in Northern IL and eastern
Wisconsin for next week ends contest (2 for the price of one). We will have the
following bands: ABCD9E and possibly 10g however that system has not been
proven to function YET!.
Our plan now is to hit EN53/63 area first on Saturday afternoon. If we see
significant interest in Badger land north of the Cheddar Curtain this may
become EN54/64. Due to gas prices I don't want to waste the energy if there
will not be enough contacts to be had from the northern grids. We will then
work back south spending time in each of the 4 corners area we encounter.
Sunday we will be hitting the EN51/61/52/62 corners during the afternoon in the
CHicago area.
I would like to entertain more grids but the old motor home only get 10 miles
to the gallon and I would prefer not to wind up with a 2nd mortgage in gas as a
result of the contest.
We are also trying to get other members of the Stoned Monkeys to join in on a
pack rove effort
