I often get the Write Log error message - "Server Busy - Retry ...."
when I use my internal modem at the same time I'm connected to a
packet cluster and have a radio interfaced. The TNC and radio work
fine on COM1 and COM2 but when I access the modem on COM3, the TNC
on COM1 stops working.
I believe this is caused by the sharing of the same interrupt on the
PC for serial ports COM1 and COM3. Once I close out the modem
connection and click RETRY in the error message window - Everything
is fine except I see evidence of lost data on the packet DX cluster
screen.
This is with Windows95, a 400Mhz K6-2 and the current version of
Write Log and a single-PC system (no networking in use of any form).
I post this information in hopes that it may help others or if anyone
knows how to correct this situation - I'm all ears!
