I did get Kam to work with Writelog. I too had a lot of difficutly
getting it to work but it does work. My guess is that you have the =
same
problem I had.
=20
Two things I would check: Is your Kam in Host mode? Is the baud rate
correct?
=20
Some things to consider:
If you power up the Kam while it is connected to writelog, do you see
the greeting that Kam provides when powering up? This will only occur
if you have the right baud rate and are NOT in host mode.
=20
If you do not see the message then you may have one of both of these
problems. =20
=20
If you use some other program with Kam, such as KaGold then set KaGold
to leave the tnc in a known state (say 2400 baud, host mode off. BTW,
this is a separate setting in KaGold. ) and then use this setting in
Writelog.
=20
Another possitbility, is to do a hard reset of Kam. I have not looked
at the manual recently, but there may be a jumper on the board to do
this. =20

Subject: [WriteLog] rtty cable

Hi all,
    Still trying to get something to work on rtty with WLog. Havent =
been
able to get the Kam to receive data yet. Dont know what else to do. So
am going for the afsk hook-up to sound card.Have yet to figure out =
which
pins on the acc2
plug in the back of my 850 to hook the sound card too. Ive tried a
couple of them only to find they key the rig as soon as they are
plugged. Can someone tell me which pins to hook up to so I can get some
rtty going? This would be for the tx cable only, I was smart enough to
figure out the receive one believe it or not.
                                                    Thanks-Bob-WT9Q
