On rare occasion in the past (CQ 160 SSB 2001 & IARU 2001) I had the
situation where the mike went "dead" with sound card voice keying. I
discovered pressing any message key and then hitting escape brought the mike
back to life. However this was a couple of revisions back so maybe it was a
variant on the problem a few people experienced in CQ WW.
