I have found that the IBM A20M (600MHz PIII running Windows 2000) works very
well with WriteLog. Has a real "SoundBlaster" sound chipset and ATI
graphics. Virtually non-existent EMI problems with receive. Very flexible
drive bays, full docking station with PCI slot and drive bay as well as a
simple port replicator are available.

  Season's Greetings Everyone...

I know a number of you use notebooks as part of your contest setup.

My company is about to buy me a notebook, and I need some advise on what I
should lean on them to get...

I'm leaning towards the Dell Inspiron 8100 - www.dell.com, but Pro Star
also caught my interest www.pro-star.com, as well as the Sony Vaio FX Pro
and FXA series... www.sony.com/. Also, any comments on the sager range of
notebooks??

Any comments on their overall suitability... and specific useability in
ham applications would be appreciated...
