There are a couple of features I really like in N1MM. One is the separate
CQ and S&P memories, which has already been mentioned here.
The other is the free form entry of the exchange information for
Sweepstakes. I have not given up using TR just for this feature in SS.
With so much information coming so quickly it is a real pain trying to make
sure the cursor is in the correct field, especially if you have to make a
correction.
With TR, and now N1MM (although not quite as good as the TR implementation),
you enter the data in one line and the program parses it to the correct
field. To make a change you just add it to the end of the string of data.
For example, after entering K5SR in the call field you enter 100A 77 LA B 74
K5SL and it is logged correctly as 100 B K5SL 74 LA. N1MM is nice as it
shows how the data will be parsed above the exchange field.
After using TR with this feature I won't be going to a program with separate
data field entry for SS. It doesn't matter in other contests.
