I used F12 extensively in the last contest. If you use CT compatability
mode then F11 is mapped as Alt-W.

F12 used to be ALT-W back in version 9. It was my only contribution to this
fine product. In version 10, there was a call for a key that would put the
radio VFO back to the frequency it was on previously and therefore that is
what F-12 then became.
For instance, if you were running CQ on frequency A and you jumped to
frequency B to work a mult or whatever, hitting F-12 will put you right back
to frequency A. It's a nice feature. Those of use that were used to using
F-12 for ALT-W had to learn to use ALT-W and we did. ALT-W is a natural
action for me now.
Anyway, that's probably why you can't map F12 to ALT-W.
