Filip,

could You forward the rotor settings set up in Your writelog.ini,
or perhaps the whole file, for my comparing, please ?

Yours,
Alec

You have to set your rotor in Yaesu mode.
This is done through the controller menu, see the manual for specifications.

I have successfully used the Alfaspid AZ rotor with WL.

Hi Guys,

how do You find possibility to add AlfaSpid to the rotator list, as the one
has become very much widely used recently.
please ?

However,
looking at what I have changed in the writelog.ini file to make AlfaSpid
pretend it is YAESU GS232B, could You tell me what is wrong that it does not
work from within Writelog, please ?

I have changed the settings within WRITELOG.INI to:
[ENTRY]
RotatorPort=5
RotatorType=YAESU

and added to
[Ports]
COM5:=1200,n,8,1

Hi,

in the meantime,
I have found out that the only configurable one is YAESU type rotator.
I have checked it with Logger32,
and AlphaSpid works alright when configured as YAESU GS232B.

So, I have changed the settings within WRITELOG.INI to:
[ENTRY]
RotatorPort=5
RotatorType=YAESU

and added to
[Ports]
COM5:=1200,n,8,1

However,
I cannot make the antenna turn..

Any ideas,
please ?

Yours,
Alec/SP2EWQ

Hi Guys,

thanks a lot for Your inputs re scaling QSO Entry Window font.
However, I am coming with another problem yet.

I have got AlphaSpid rotor which can be configured as DCU-1
with the only available comport speed of 1200.
On the other hand,
I have read somewhere Writelog's rotor comport speed is set up to 4800,
and it seems it is not configurable.

Has anyone reached a solution how to use AlphaSpid with Writelog,
please?

Yours,
Alec
