Using same MP here since 1998. Have never changed the internal battery because
all memories are still being held even after long epriods with the rig OFF..
From the manual I understand that the internal battery only keeps alive the
user programmed memories. When changing out the battery you only loose those
memories. There is no need to keep voltage on the battery circuit during
changeout......
Anyone changed out a battery recently?
