1. [Yaesu] FT101B: T105 coil needed (score: 1)
Author: (David Feldman)
Date: Mon, 5 Oct 1998 13:38:33 -0700 (PDT)
I'm fixing up an old FT101B and am down to the last problem - very low output on 10M. I've tracked it down to the T105 variable coil; the slug is stuck in a (probably) bad position - I suspect from s

2. [Yaesu] Band crystal in FTdx400/560 transceiver? (score: 1)
Author: (David Feldman)
Date: Sat, 10 Oct 1998 09:59:12 -0700 (PDT)
I have a FTdx560 (very similar to FTdx400) whose 15M operation is dead. I have tracked the problem down to the band crystal. I tried injecting the necessary frequency (26.72 MHz) into the rig's oscil

3. [Yaesu] FTdx560 - one more ques (low CW/TUNE drive) (score: 1)
Author: (David Feldman)
Date: Sat, 10 Oct 1998 13:22:28 -0700 (PDT)
FTdx560 I've been working on is getting closer to fully operational, but one problem I'm not sure about - in CW/TUNE the drive to the finals is quite low - max out ~50 watts. Put tone into mic jack a

Date: Sun, 13 Sep 1998 16:21:59 -0700 (PDT)
Can the FT767's 70CM module be toggled between the two applicable 10 MHz ranges, or is it fixed to one or the other? 73 Dave WB0GAZ -- FAQ on WWW: Su

5. [Yaesu] TRANSLATED: How to interface FT1000D filters to FT1000MP (score: 1)
Author: (David Feldman)
Date: Fri, 8 May 1998 08:57:27 -0700 (PDT)
A good friend of mine in JA has found out that it is possible to add bandpass filters of FT1000D to the FT1000MP, allowing concurrent cross-band receive in the FT1000MP. Masa, JO2AJT, obtained this i

7. [Yaesu] FT 560 S meter question (score: 1)
Author: (David Feldman)
Date: Tue, 19 May 1998 15:09:48 -0700 (PDT)
I'm resurrecting an old FT 560 transceiver. Things are going well, but the main S meter itself seems to be dead. I've got a 1 mA meter in the circuit and it is showing received signal strength and tr

I looked closely at the S meter on the FT560 and I was AMAZED to see that is really is "backwards reading" - stronger signal moves the S meter to the LEFT, not the right. I wasted much of this aftern

I picked up a as-is FTdx560 at Dayton. I've gotten it running except for no operation on 15M (the xtal is dead) and no CW/Tune carrier out (still don't know why)... Anyway, I ordered a replacement ma

It _is_ a big deal for this reason - Yaesu has evidently CHOSEN not to put a transverter port on the FT847. This means you now have to deal with 50 watts of RF to somehow get rid of when you convert
