Can't see any problem, but I always use a separate bridge on each parallel secondary and common the outputs - it's probably not essential but it avoids the possibility of wierd reverse current effect

If there's a pcb shop local to you, ask nicely if they will do some cuts on their guillotine. A few coins in the coffee fund is often enough payment. Their scrap bin is a good source of material too.

From what follows I'm guessing 'this' means the 'high resistance' part? Yes, and maybe I should have said 'higher' rather than just 'high' - but are amplifiers unstable if you disconnect the blocking

I hope not, I looked from 1MHz up to around 300MHz, in both full and part band sweeps. Around the tuned frequency was the only place I found repeatable signals. It's a laborious process as a spectrum
