Well it only takes a simple slip of the grip and down you go. Not all towers are easy to climb like Rohn 45 or 55. The self supporting towers take some getting used to to climb and position correctly

I second that! AN Wireless or Trylon both make towers that will fit the bill. I have a 70ft An and a 56ft Trylon. No guy wires are great! You can't put much on a stick of 45g at 40ft self supporting.

That is probably a "flooded" heat shrink tubing to keep out the moisture. You can find it by searching online. I think this tubing is double walled with a sealant in the middle. _____________________
