Anyone here having trouble with solid state amps having the finals getting
zapped when using a Kenwood TS-450? Or do you know of anyone having such a
problem?
Ameritron claims that a huge spike at the moment of key-down from the TS-450
is destroying the finals in the ALS-600 and they informed me that it is a
common problem. I called Kenwood & they claim they never heard of such a
problem. Does anyone know who is telling the truth? Since my amp is under
warranty Ameritron will fix the amp. BUT, I don't want to be spending $200 for
finals every couple of months AFTER the warranty period is over!
