AD1C Single-op, all-band (actually just 20/40 CW & SSB), low power
(100W)
CW: 112 QSOs, 61 counties
SSB: 54 QSOs, 37 counties
Total: 278 points x 98 counties = 27,244 claimed score
8 hours operating time
Missed the following counties: Alger, Alpena, Cass, Clare, Crawford,
Hill, Isabella, Lake, Manistee, Mason, Muskegon, Oceana, Presque Isle,
Roscommon, Schoolcraft, Shiawassee and Wexford.
Congratulations to KU8E, I heard him moving a lot of guys.
Had a lot of fun chasing the mobiles. Thanks to AF8A (who didn't go to
a single county I needed :-), K8MR, K8XXX, W1NN, W8RU, W8UE and WF5X,
and especially to K8CC for helping me finish up the upper penninsula
(Iron was my last one). Worked 21 new counties, now just a handful
left in MI, mostly along the western border -- WI8W was listed as going
to some of them, but I never heard him. Wish I had read the rules,
might have spent more time on phone chasing needed multipliers (thought
mode didn't matter).
Conditions were strange, K8JM was almost unreable on 20 SSB, then 1/2
hour later was booming.
For those of you who may have seen my packet spots, I had incoming
spots from W/K disabled, so was not able to see them (no packet
assistance), but was still able to put out a few spots of my own.
