Alex, LZ4AX, operated for the 4th contest here now (CQWW - CW, ARRL 10M - CW
only, ARRL DX CW and now the Russian DX Contest - CW only). The station was in
pretty good shape again this weekend
with all working except the lower 20M OWA Yagi TIC ring. We had fixed it to
Europe but the attachment came loose and it was free spinning so he really could
not use it. We also had a similar problem with the top 10M Yagi that seemed to
come loose in the rotator as well and was not staying where it was aimed either.
We hope to get these both fixed soon. These things were caused from some bad
windstorm we had here recently.
Station:
Two FT1000 MP's (all filters and Inrad mods)
NA set up for 2 radios
Alpha 87A, Ameritron AL-1500 (just brand new for this contest and replaced our
trusty old AL-1200). Still building two custom 1500W solid state amps each
using 16 MRF 150 MOSFET's.
Antennas:
160M - Flat offset fed dipole at 175 feet fed at 450 ohm feedpoint
80M - Flat dipole at 175 feet NE/SW, Inverted-V at 100 feet NW/SE
40M - 3 el V-Yagi (switchable/rotatable) at 55 feet, 4 dipole curtain array at
175 feet NE, Inverted-V at 40 ft.
20M - 6 over 6 over 6 48 ft boom OWA Yagis (top at 180 feet)
15M - 6 over 6 over 6 48 ft boom OWA Yagis (top at 190 feet)
10M - 7 over 7 over 7 over 7 48 ft boom OWA Yagis (top at 180 feet)
Beverages (1600 ft NE, 1600 ft NW, 1000 ft W, 400 ft SE)
