Comments:
Just for kicks, I checked to see if I could match my Hy-Gain AV-640 vertical
with the tuner in my TS-570D on 160 meters. It was able to match it, but I had
to retune if I QSY'd very far. I tried the contest for a very short time and
was able to do much better than I expected. I should have a more suitable
antenna next year. No DX countries worked, but it was still fun. I could work
almost all the stations I could hear, but there were a few alligators.
