Comments:
Condx seemed pretty rough up north compared to those further south. That's what
makes this contest so fun...different parts of the east can get favorable
conditions and do really well. Congrats to the W2GD crew who will finish ahead
of us, and to W4AN at W8JI for a superb score. That's what happens when you put
a great op at a great station and have favorable conditions.
K1GQ brought his Orion over for station #2 so we had fun playing with it. K1EA
came over to check out the Orion and make a few Qs. So far I like it but only
have a few hours on it.
Highlight was a great European (and deeper) opening at 0200Z Sunday morning.
Worked EY8MM and UA9CLB, among others. That was the only time things seemed
truly great, lasted about an hour. There were some other openings, but they
were shorted and it always seemd like the same stations in the opening.
Not much to the south this time...PJ2S, PR0F, YV1DIG and a few Carib. stations.
No deeper South America.
Thanks for all the Qs, it was a blast. 160 is a great band.
