Comments:
Quite the weekend although limited for time. Competing with nice weather on
Saturday (first time have seen the sun in 7 days!). Surprise visit by Ken, K1EA
to try to fix a problem I have had with CT. He decided to stick around and play
WPX. He did 20 M for the first few hours and rocked! Antenna was played well
and it was a bottomless pit for QSO's. Only 3 ops all weekend (Friday night all
3) and during the day just one op, then 2 ops on Saturday night.
Nice surprise on Saturday with a big, all day opening to EU. 10 M was fairly
quiet but on Sunday it opened to EU for about an hour or so. Southern EU was
pounding in while others were quite weak.
Always a fun contest for rate. Thanks to the PCARC for the use of the special
call NM1JY taken from the local club in support of the USS Albacore sub on
display in Portsmouth, NH. Original call letters for the sub NMJY.
