Another interesting SS !
Unbelievable static crash level on 40 Saturday night. Nearly quit when 4 or 5
QRP stations would call at once, none of them copyable through the QRN. Turned
on the TV early Sunday AM to see live post-tornado coverage from Evansville, IN,
and decided that things could be a lot worse for me !
15 meters was excellent during the daytime hours. Just like last weekend, 15
was much better than one would expect with such low solar flux numbers.
This contest is a little different from NM, compared to CO. You get off to a
much better start from down here, but it still boils down to eeking out QSO's on
Sunday. The net result seems to be the same at both QTH's.
Congrats to WP3R/KE3Q for another SS win. Also congrats to WX0B, N0NI, and K5GO
for their big B-power scores.
73,
Steve, N2IC
