First time in years I've operated from my own station instead of one of the WASH
club stations; first time I've operated this contest under the "new" 1x2
Despite the late start due to family considerations, had a blast. And plenty
of room to improve for next year.
Highlight of contest: Working LA4LN on 20 CW for my DX QSO & multiplier. Tom
doesn't remember me -- or doesn't realize I finally changed calls -- but I knew
him during his grad student days at Penn State, and this is the first time I've
actually managed to work him in 25 years!
